Niseko ski fields, Japan

Whilst most were grabbing their swimmers and heading to the beach to escape the scorching heat of the Australian summer, I was across the globe, enjoying the cold weather in Japan. Leaving from the Gold Coast, I flew into Tokyo then onto Sapporo and the famous Niseko ski fields, where thousands of skiers flock each year to enjoy the world-class powder snow. From Hokkaido’s world-class seafood to the truly unbeatable ski slopes, I enjoyed the best that Japan had to offer. With the ski trip coming to an end, I then travelled to Osaka, often known as the food capital of Japan. As a regular visitor to Japan, it has almost become a tradition for me to travel to Japan with an empty suitcase, pre-empting the multitude of great bargains that you can find on offer. Whilst I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the cultural immersion, I look forward to returning to Australia for the New Year and can’t wait to jump back in to the scorching, beach-worthy, weather.
